EASE Statement on Quality Standards

In recent months, several scientific researches have been conducted on the COVID-19 outbreak, and these studies have been published shortly after the rapid editorial and review evaluations.

European Association of Science Editors (EASE), in which Professor Cem Uzun, one of the leading scientists in Turkey, is also on the board of directors, published a statement to draw attention to the quality standards of COVID-19 articles published in this period.

This statement, based on relatively low-quality articles published in the days of the pandemic, draws attention to the importance of "evaluating COVID-19 research in terms of compliance with scientific guidelines and specifying research limitations".
